Support services
General Practitioner. Your GP can assess the problem and consider the full range of treatment and referral options, for example, medication as well as talking options.
Manager. Talk with your manager about your options and how they can support you. Your manager can also give you advice around leave eligibility if required.
1737. Need to talk? Phone or text 1737. It’s free and available 24/7.
Alcohol Drug Helpline. Call the Alcohol Drug Helpline on 0800 787 797, or free text 8681.
EAP. Confidential counselling and other support may be available for health staff and their close family. Please phone your local EAP provider to check your eligibility.
Contact your insurer. Some organisations who insure health professionals will provide their members with free psychological treatment for a set number of sessions. Contact them directly to see if this may be an option for you.
