Our values, personality and sense of purpose all play a role in enabling great leadership. Different leadership styles and practices influence team success. With this course you’ll have the opportunity to examine your leadership tendencies and explore your strengths and development opportunities.

Positivity and the importance of emotional intelligence will be explored as key practices for effective leadership as well as the importance of personal resilience. You’ll be introduced to successful methods for sharing your vision, enabling others to act, and creating your desired work culture.

This 3-day residential programme will help you model effective leadership and create an environment where you and your team function at their best. It’s been developed specifically for a health context allowing you to explore leadership with others familiar with your situation.

This course is most suited to experienced clinical and non-clinical leaders and managers interested in extending their leadership capabilities.

Course Feedback

“Very inspiring – I came away with a clearer vision of my goals, a deeper understanding of self and re-energised. I recognised that this course is just a catalyst for change, the real test is to make it to happen.”

“Huge!! It was an absolutely fantastic week. A massive eye opening to an area which previously was shrouded in mystery. The breaking down into “bitesize chunks” has made it seem achievable.”

“Excellent course, as the leaders said, a smorgasbord. Lots of personal as well as professional challenges issued.”

“The course has a big impact as I developed an understanding of issues that hinder my leadership and how to improve these. Research based was great. I will be gradually implementing plans developed from the course so it has given me a framework to work from, where I have to consider multiple factors before making proposals.”
